Kitchen Too Soon

Kochs went from being kitchen cooks (kochs) to being seeds of destruction in just 7 generations. MayorahM brought one of those seeds with him, or did the seed bring MayorahM? Can you imagine finally having more money than you or your family will ever need, and then using it to hurt others? Evidently, that is what happens when cooks can't take the heat and escape from the kitchen too soon.

County Quality Control Guy

Cook County, home to Chicago and all of the little et ceteras, sent out new voter cards to be cut out of the mailing itself. The funny part is that the county neglected to mention any new voter card on the other side, and the lines to be cut around the card are of the palest faded blue, hardly noticeable. There were lots of other words, not one word about the new card. We call it passive voter suppression. Who, us? It must have been an "oversight". Gosh, where is that Cook County quality control guy?

Great Candidates, Great Liars, One Slot

One candidate wears 1950's big daddy sweaters and always obeys the former george to comfort himself.
Another candidate wears 2050's broken factory shells and a killer prospectus to comfort himself.
Some other candidate wears today's neckbrace to face forward, away from history books and logical conclusions, to comfort himself.
This is a guessing game because we only have a few facts.
The former george re-introduced torture into our lives, and he really really enjoyed hearing the stories, probably still does. The present president introduced small death squads into our lives, and he really really enjoys the telling of and the taking credit for the stories, probably always will. Both excuse torturers while they punish truth-tellers. Both say one thing out of the sides of their mouths, then do the opposite. Neither has any use for habeas corpus or other necessary tools of Democracy.
The guess in the game is this - Which is the more dangerous?
Great Candidates,
Great Liars,

A Brain Scan Too

Pols get all medieval on their gas,
So let's exchange fossil fuels for a piece of class.
*
The same old liars who always come out of the woodwork to whine for war are doing it again, and with their same old lies. The sameness of it all should be comforting, but it is not.

Which candidates are practicing idiot savants,
without the savant part to weigh them down?

Shriveled corn stalks to chew
And zero food value stew
Don't forget, your taxes are due
Voting needs 3 ID's and a brain scan too.

Everything We Read.

Going into the state primaries on Tuesday February 28, 2012 and with 103% of the totals in, here are some rounded numbers.
Nationwide, about 3 million republicans have voted so far, with these over the top results, and gosh, they have to be rounded because they don't add up:

Mitt - 40%
Newt - 29%
Rick - 20%
Ron Paul - 12%
"Others" - 2%

That is 103%, and it makes me think

The truth is out there, but we can't believe everything we read.

Will Michigan voters prove that petitions and voting really do count?

Will they repeal the emergency manager "law"?

Will they vote to keep the state senate?

Security or a Good Education

This is another tug of war for top billing story, mostly about Writ Momney and Sick Rantorum, but a couple of bit players out past their bedtime and the perfect write-in candidate are included, for historical accuracy. Regarding Sick and Writ: One is old enough to be himself, hateful as that may be. The other is old enough too, but not brave enough. Which one does not know how many closets he owns, while the other might be in all of them? Which one or both said the following?
Sometimes the people in charge don't get it right. They don't know what they're talking about. That is my clue to volunteer to tell them what to do, totally without being asked. I am entitled to do that, just as the people in charge are entitled to do that and not be overhauled. I can represent oldsters or youngsters with the best and worst of the pols. Neither group - old or young - needs to be coddled with a sense of security or a good education.
