Tender Feelings Again

My heart aches for Louis Zamperini. He experienced "far too many scenes of sadistic brutality" in his young life. He was "one man enduring beating after beating after beating." The wealthy always smell threats to their cash and gold and act quickly, while the poor are still trying to survive the day. In the 1950's, the Cuban wealthy smelled that smell and scattered everywhere. In the 1980's, the poor and those labeled as criminals left Cuba. The adolescents and teenagers who fled in the 50's - the baby boomers - have no affection for the people who were never able to leave the island.
