Should parents and their own behavior be responsible for devastating their children, or should the court system pretend to be responsible? Should sickness be a reason for less guilt and a free pass? Conversely, should a sound mind be a reason for more guilt and more prison time? Should poor people be punished more severely than those with money?

This just in: The US government prefers to snoop in an unbalanced and unfair way. Since terrorists are not "folks" and ordinary citizens are not scarey vigilantes, snooping is our only choice. Well, we could have gone with lurking or prowling, but neither is as justified and full of justice as snooping. And any excuse will do when you're making stuff up.
