Shall Not Be Denied or Abridged

Some of my favorite phrases in the Constitution:


Article I Section 6
The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services (my underline)


Article I Section 8
The Congress shall have Power . . .
To establish Post Offices and post Roads;
To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts,


Article I Section 9
No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed


Article II Section 1
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President;


Article II Section 2
The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate,


Article II Section 3
he [the President] shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States


Article III Section 1
The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior,


Article III Section 3
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.


Amendment IX
The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.


Amendment XIV Section 3
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, . . . or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof


Amendment XV
The right of citizens of the United States to vote
shall not be denied or abridged
